MCD Establishes the Jody Casey S.T.A.R. Award
In remembrance of our friend and co-worker who tragically lost his life recently in an automobile accident, MCD has established the Jody Casey S.T.A.R. Award. This quarterly award will be presented in two categories. One award will go to an honored employee in the Manufacturing group at MCD and one award will go to an honored employee on the Administration / Management team.
The S.T.A.R. Award (Special Thanks, and Recognition) is given to honor the attributes that Jody Casey exemplified while he was with us at MCD. Those qualities include dependability, sensitivity, helpfulness, kindness, hard working and a willingness to help anyone.
The first awards were presented April 4, 2013, in a ceremony at the MCD factory. Employees in the Manufacturing group voted for the person fitting the S.T.A.R. criteria and Christina Vilorio won that honor. Christina is one of the Lead Shade Assemblers for MCD and has been an MCD employee since August of 2009.
The recipient of the Administration/Management team S.T.A.R. award went to Christina Trammell. Christina's position with MCD is Senior Customer Support Supervisor. She works with both the retail and commercial divisions of MCD. She has been with the company since October of 2009.
Presenting the plaque and award checks was MCD owner Dave Townsley at a luncheon at the MCD factory. Each recipient of the award will have their name engraved on a plate that will hang beneath the S.T.A.R. Award placard and will be displayed in the MCD front lobby.
