MCD Innovations Expands Production Capacity
McKinney, TX - MCD Innovations, the world's foremost day/night roller shade manufacturer, is expanding its production capacity. In response to the tremendous sales growth from 2012 to 2013, and in anticipation of considerable future expansion, the company has begun to implement its 2013-2014 strategic development plan.
The comprehensive plan calls for a significant investment in additional leading-edge manufacturing equipment, more than doubling its already extensive engineering department, making significant additions to its production management team, and enlarging its production floor. When the current plan is fully implemented over the ensuing six month period, MCD will have expanded its production capacity four-fold.
"MCD will increase its overall production capacity by some 400% over the next six months," said Senior RV Market Manager Travis Townsley. "The newest RV product line from MCD the MCD Shade system, introduced in 2012, has been wildly accepted by OEMs across the country. The first six months that the product line was on the market was great, but sales over the last two quarters have been absolutely phenomenal. The expansion of our production capacity will allow us to continue to meet and exceed the increased demand from OEMs, dealers, and retail customers for the market-leading American Duo® Series day/night roller shade line."
MCD is heavily investing in resources to strategically grow the business, especially in research and innovation for both the RV and commercial markets. "Developing and leading the market through innovation has been the hallmark of our success. While I suppose we should be flattered that other companies have sought to imitate our products and our progress, MCD will proceed to raise the bar, so to speak, by expanding the creation of cutting-edge products even further. We will maintain our position as the acknowledged head supplier of day/night roller shades to the RV and commercial businesses we serve," noted Townsley.
