Featured OEM - Keystone RV and their popular Cougar 5th Wheel

Located in Goshen, Indiana, and Pendleton, Oregon

When Cole Davis founded Keystone RV in 1996, his vision was clear. Build a quality RV loaded with features priced thousands less than other RVs on the market. To accomplish his goal, Cole would recruit and build a strong team, focus on keeping overheads low and empower the people closest to the customer to make decisions. One of their recent decisions was to incorporate MCD Innovations Day/Night Roller Shades into the popular Cougar Fifth Wheel models. Producing a modern looking product that is also functional is the mission of Keystone RV.

By including MCD Roller Shades in the Cougar, upgrades the interior look of the Fifth Wheel. The Day/Night Shades provide the latest in technological breakthroughs to keep the RVs cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Privacy is important and MCD day shades allow the occupants of the Cougar to clearly see out during daylight hours with no visibility into the RV. As night approaches, the blackout night shade provides 100% privacy both from everyone seeing in, as well as stopping ambient light from entering the RV. This creates a very comfortable sleeping environment.

Keystone leads the way in RV innovation and development. Each year the Keystone RV “family” is encouraged to camp out in the products they are building. The project is called “Kamp Keystone” and this free experience brings about new ideas and excellent feedback as to what is working and what needs more refinement. This is one company where the employees do know how the products perform.

MCD is proud to be featured in the Keystone RV Cougar, which, for thirteen years, has been the number one RV in its class! It’s no wonder that MCD and Keystone have teamed up since MCD has been the Consumers #1 Best Choice for 9 Straight Years!

1996 - THE VISION

Within a few short months after opening the doors, Keystone produced its very first camper—the wood framed, aluminum-skinned sprinter. Delivering big on quality, features, and value, the public fell in love with Sprinter and a star was born.

Expanding Production

As the appetite for sprinters skyrocketed, new Keystone models were added to satisfy growing customer demand. Along with this tremendous growth came the need for expanded production. To meet this need more manufacturing plants were built and staffed. By the beginning of 2000, Keystone was leading the industry in both fifth wheel and trailer sales. Today, Keystone RV company has grown to encompass over one million square feet of manufacturing space with facilities in Goshen, Indiana, and Pendleton, Oregon. While Keystone is no longer the small startup they once were, their mission has remained true to Cole’s vision "do the job right and make sure we deliver a high-quality coach every time."

Innovation

From new floor plan designs to patented inventions, Keystone leads the way in product innovation. One reason is the mission to stay close to the customer. When talking with campers or visiting dealerships, Keystone's sales, product development, and service teams are always looking for new ways to improve the camping experience.

Every member of the Keystone family is encouraged to contribute to making the campers the best they can be. Through Kamp Keystone, their employees camp free of charge at local campgrounds in Keystone trailers. Each year hundreds of their production workers, administrative staff and service team enjoy a day (or a week) at Kamp Keystone. Their evaluation of the experience and the feedback they provide results in continuous product improvement. Ask Keystone employees if they use their RVs ... the answer is YES!

Community

Keystone is one of Elkhart County's largest employers. They are honored to play a major role in the community through the support of various agencies and volunteerism. For example, year in and year out Keystone employees lead the county in United Way contributions helping thousands of individuals enjoy a better quality of life. Through their association with Big Brothers Big Sisters Keystone has provided many young people with "first time ever" opportunity to enjoy camp. Keystone's ongoing support of those who serve in the military enables a small way to pay back the debt we all owe our veterans.

Keystone Cougar

For thirteen straight years, RV buyers have made Cougar number one in its class. Why? Cougar offers you more features, more innovative floorplans, and higher quality, all at a good price. With unique models like the island kitchens, front living room, your choice of several bunk house models and Toyhauler options there's bound to be a Cougar that's perfect for you.
