MCD offers a Two (2) Year Limited Liability Warranty from date of purchase with proof of receipt from defects in product and workmanship to the original Buyer or End User. Such Warranty applies only to products properly installed for the intended use. This Warranty does not apply if, in the judgment of MCD, the product fails due to damage from shipment, handling, storage, accident, abuse or misuse, improper installation, improper operation, or if it has been used or maintained in a manner not conforming to product instructions and specifications, or has been modified in any way. Any repair performed by anyone other than MCD or an approved agent voids this Warranty.

This Warranty does not apply to conditions caused by normal wear and tear upon the product. It does not apply to product damaged by fire, flood, wind, rain, lightning or other natural disasters.

MCD’s only obligation shall be to repair or replace defective MCD product. MCD shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage, direct or consequential, arising out of, or the inability to use, the product. Before using, Buyer and/or the eventual End User shall determine the suitability of the product for its intended use, and the End User assumes all risks and liability in connection therewith.

All costs related to installation and/or reinstallation of the MCD product covered by this Warranty are not the responsibility of MCD. MCD will not be responsible for any consequential damages caused by the installation of the product. If the Buyer resells any new, unused MCD products to another Buyer or End User, the original Buyer shall include all of the terms and provisions of this Warranty in such resale. MCD’s responsibility to any Third Party shall be no greater than MCD’s responsibility under the Warranty extended to the original Buyer.

MCD Return Policy for Warranty or Out-of-Warranty Products

In most instances, when an MCD product appears inoperable, whether covered by Warranty or not, a return can typically be avoided with a quick phone call to one of our knowledgeable Customer Support Technicians at 800-804-1757. MCD Customer Support Technicians are able to troubleshoot and provide instructions to correct most malfunctions or problems over the phone in the vast majority of instances. If, after speaking to an MCD Customer Support Technician, it is determined that a return is necessary, the following procedure must be followed:

  1. All returns must be approved with a Return Authorization (RA) number. This number can be obtained by contacting an MCD Customer Support Technician at 800-804-1757.
  2. If the malfunction appears to be of a nature that would be covered under our Warranty policy, the MCD Customer Support Technician will issue a FedEx Call Tag and MCD would pay for the return shipment.
  3. If the problems appear to be of such a nature as to not be covered under the Warranty policy, then the Customer must arrange for the return shipment and pay for related freight costs.
  4. Returned product must be securely packaged for return. MCD is not responsible for any damage to product due to accident, abuse or misuse; improper installation; improper operation; if it has been used or maintained in a manner not conforming to product’s instructions and specifications; if it has been modified in any way; or if faulty packaging caused product to be damaged during return shipping.
  5. After properly packaging the product for return, the customer MUST CALL FedEx to arrange for pick-up if the Customer was issued a FedEx Call Tag. (MCD will be responsible for the FedEx freight charge on all products returned that are found to be defective and covered under the Warranty policy.)
  6. If a FedEx Call Tag was NOT issued, Customer must make their own return shipment arrangements.
  7. All return shipments must be made to the RA fulfillment address given by the Customer Support Technician. Clearly identify your RA number on the outside of the package being returned. Include all contact information with name, address, phone number and RA number inside of the package.
  8. If your product is found to not be covered under Warranty, MCD offers repair services for a fee. All repairs that are not covered under MCD Product Warranty AND all related shipping expenses shall be the responsibility of the customer. Repair prices for the damaged product not covered by Warranty shall be discussed with the customer prior to issuing an RA, if possible. Any unforeseen product repairs not disclosed to MCD, or subsequently identified when the product is returned, will be the responsibility of the Customer and will be charged to the individual store as applicable. Warranty does not apply if, in the judgment of MCD, the product failed due to (a) damage caused by shipping, handling, storage, accident, abuse or misuse; (b) damage that is attributable to acts of natural disaster; (c) improper maintenance or use in a manner not conforming to product instructions; (d) modification in any way.
  9. Any parts received by MCD under an old or closed out RA will be returned to the Customer freight collect.
